Familiar faces reveal first details of new reality show set in a Coastal Region villa

A former league footballer, a TV chef and a pop singer are among twelve contestants who will spend six weeks in 'Sunset Villa', filmed near Port Alden.

Twelve contestants, a clifftop villa and six weeks without phones: the first details of “Sunset Villa”, the new reality show from a big streaming service, have been revealed by several of the familiar faces taking part. Filming begins next week at a private estate just outside Port Alden.

Unlike most dating shows, “Sunset Villa” mixes well-known personalities with members of the public. Each week, viewers will vote on challenges, and the contestant with the fewest votes leaves the villa at the end of the episode.

Who is moving in

News. can confirm that former Riverton United midfielder Nico Halvorsen, TV chef Rosa Delgado and pop singer Kaia Lund are among the six known names. The other six contestants were chosen from more than 20,000 applications.

I spent fifteen years with cameras on me in stadiums, but never in my kitchen at seven in the morning. That part scares me more than any penalty ever did.

Delgado said she agreed to take part on one condition: that she would be allowed to cook for the whole house. Producers agreed, and one of the weekly challenges will be a dinner she prepares with ingredients won by the other contestants.

Life without phones

Contestants will hand over their phones on arrival and will have no access to the internet or news during filming. The villa has 38 fixed cameras, and a crew of around 60 will work from converted outbuildings on the estate.

“We wanted a show about how people get along when the world switches off,” said executive producer Henrik Dahl. “There will be romance, probably, and arguments, definitely. But also a lot of laughter.”

When to watch

The first episode will be released in six weeks, with new episodes three times a week. The final will be broadcast live from the villa terrace, where the winner will receive a prize of 100,000 euros, half of which must go to a charity of their choice.

Lund, who released her latest album this spring, joked that she was most worried about the shared bathroom. “Twelve people, four mirrors,” she said. “That’s the real competition.”

Nico Halvorsen was my favorite player as a kid. Curious to see him outside the stadium.

Rosa Delgado cooking for the whole house? I’m watching for that alone.

Another villa show. At least the charity prize is a nice touch.
