Noa Castell, the singer whose track “Salt and Neon” spent eleven weeks at the top of the national radio charts this summer, announced on Wednesday that she will take her new album on a 14-city tour across the region next spring.
The tour opens in Port Alden, her hometown, in March and finishes with two nights at the Riverton Arena in late May. Stops include Northvale, Elmbridge, Cedar Falls and Lakeshore, as well as six cities in neighboring countries.
“The biggest thing we’ve ever done”
Castell made the announcement at a small acoustic show for 200 fans in a Riverton club, where she played three songs from the new album before revealing the dates on a screen behind her.
I’ve played bars, festivals and other people’s opening slots. This is the first time it’s my name, my band and my songs every night. I’m terrified and very happy.

The new album, also called “Salt and Neon”, comes out next month. Castell co-wrote all twelve songs with her longtime producer, and says the record is about growing up in a harbor town and leaving it.
A big production
Promoters say the tour will be the largest by a homegrown pop artist in years. The show will feature a nine-piece band, a rotating stage and a section where Castell plays alone at the piano.
“Demand from venues was so strong that we added three cities in the past month,” said Elias Brandt, whose company is organizing the tour. “Pre-registration for tickets passed 60,000 people in two days.”
Tickets go on sale next Friday at 10 a.m., with prices starting at 35 euros. Fans who pre-registered will get access a day earlier. The organizers say they will cap resale prices and cancel tickets bought in bulk by automated programs.
Castell will also play a free outdoor show on the Port Alden waterfront in late February, as a thank-you to the city where she started out singing at weddings and harbor festivals.
